laptop wont let me inistall amd graphic driver .. atikmdag.sys

    I have
    dell 5567
    gpu intel hd 620
    r7 m445
    8 gb ram
    1 tb storage
problem started with me few days ago i dont know what causes it but i keep getting bsods with this error “atikmdag.sys page_fault_in_nonpaged_area”
so 1ST thing i tried is to reinstall windows 10 on my laptop .. and now i cant install my amd graphic driver which is r7 m445 every time i try to install it gets me the blue screen with the same error “atikmdag.sys page_fault_in_nonpaged_area”
the only way i could run my pc with my r7 is to install my driver while its not connected to my charger .. and then plug my charger after installation is complete and it works fine untill i restart or shutdown it .. it gives me same error so i had to start my laptop while my charger is unconnected and then when it lets me to desktop i plug in my charger .. its the only way i can use my laptop with r7 m445 .. i need some serious help please cuz i dont know what exactly causes that.

ps : i tried updating my bios from dell website “supported drivers for my laptop” did not work and i get same issue ..

oki let me tell you how it started , someday i was starting my laptop as usual and i kept getting bsod and atikmdag, sys page fault in nonpaged area , then i thought it was windows so i downloaded latest version of windows from microsoft website used rufus to install it but i kept getting cant install and need to transfer my disk to gpt i faild so i reput the windows in my flash drive in MBR i guess so i can inistall without changing my driver to gpt cuz i couldnt do it .. i didnt know how and i tried alot of methods on youtube but didnt work .. then after installation i went to download my drivers from dell webstie and when i starter to inistall amd driver i got bsod with same error i mentioned atikmdag.sys.
my brother told me its a windows version fault so he took my latptop ans installed an old version of windows on it and i think he used sometool to activate it , now i had the same problem with atikmdag and nothing changed i just discoverd that if i shutteddown my laptop completely with holding power button and started it without connecting it to charger i can install amd driver with no problems for somehow then i can plug in my charger and it works but i have to always start it without my charger being connected to it ..

Did you install the chipset first?
What about the other drives for the system?
Dell has a specific order that the drives have to be installed.
            https://www.dell.com/support/article...-order?lang=en

            This may help as well
            https://www.dell.com/support/home/en...o/recoverytool

            and

            https://www.dell.com/support/article...indows?lang=en

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

This does not include any information about the PSU we will need to have the make and model.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

According to Dells site that system came with Windows 10 and DOS has not been used and or updates since the mid nighties.

What I would suggest is try the recovery download that way you have recovery disk handy.

First thing that need to be done is install the chipset drives in the proper order.

Lets try changing the power settings form High performance to Balanced
High Performance is a form of overclocking that is known to cause stability and overheating issues and the setting should only be used for gaming type notebooks that have a discrete GPU that needs the extra power.

Still going through the speccy report may have more in the mean time do the above.

there is something i forgot to mention .. when amd graphic driver is uninstalled and I start laptop with charger on i cant see my amd driver in device manager menu .. i see Video controller rather than amd r7 m445and when i click properities to view the details i find an error code 24 ..
but when i unplug charger and start laptop again i can see my amd driver normally under display devices .. now i tried inistall latest version from dell website it showed me this error
“C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\atiadlxx.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or software vendor for support. Error status 0xc000012f.”
.. i could install it pressing search for driver automatically ..

The Dell Recovery is was worth a shot sorry to hear that it did not work. You might try contacting Dell to see about getting the recovery disk for your system.

What is the name of the Driver that you are installing showing that there are three listed for AMD and three listed for the Intel. From the sounds of it may be selecting the wrong one.

Which one is giving you the error?

                        Graphics
                        Intel HD Graphics 620 (Dell)
Which will run on the battery

                        4096MB ATI Radeon R7 M445 (Dell):
Which will run when attached to the power since it requires the extra for rendering.

yes .. i will contact dell and ses if they can send me the recovery disk for my system.
name of the driver is AMD Graphics Driver with these details :-

                          "Version: 17.400.2011, A04

Last Updated Date: 30 Dec 2019

                          File size: 538 MB

Description: This package contains the AMD Radeon R7 M445/M440 Graphics driver. A graphics or video driver is the software that enables communication between the graphics card and the operating system, games, and applications."

"it gives me this error when i try to install it “C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\atiadlxx.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or software vendor for support. Error status 0xc000012f.”

                          oki so now its the

                          4096MB ATI Radeon R7 M445 (Dell):
Which will run when attached to the power since it requires the extra for rendering. .. < this one.

only way i could install a little stable amd graphic driver is with right click on the amd r7 m445 while my laptop is not charging then i press search for updates online , it downloads and install .. then laptop works with no problems at all till i restart or shutdown .. so i just disconnect my charger and fold the laptop screen and let it be like this till the next use ..

i installed current version i have now this way ..

also more info i think you need : i used DDU to remove amd graphic driver that i installed from device manager settings before i try to install latest version “the one i did mention above” ..then i got the error i told u about .. then i went back to download and install from device manager again.

what I’m going to do now is contacting dell for the recovery disk for my system. and hoping you can help me out ^^ thank you . waiting for your replay ..

If I may chime in folks

Download the latest ISO using the second option here

After clean installing Windows go here and let Dell recommend the drivers that you need and be sure to follow the guidance offered by Rustys by installing the drivers in the correct order and the chipset drivers to be installed first,
