I can’t see the entries in those screenshots. You can use the Alt and PrintScreen buttons on the keyboard to capture just the active window which will make the resolution of the window bigger. Please re-upload the pictures, thanks.

@Evan Omo Bring the image up. Right click select copy image.
Open MS paint – Paste it there
You will see it just fine.

With an in place upgrade you are bound to have many issues. I would suggest a repair install. Or perhaps installing fresh.

Usually it is best to install fresh rather than upgrade.
You can also grab a fresh copy of windows 10 with this tool.
Then might be best to perform a repair install.
Or if you wish to downgrade.
There are copies of windows 7 here.
Just make certain to grab your Product Key.

Thanks for advice fellas Will give this a try - one last throw of the dice eh? If no success then will spend some time backing up info /files etc It’s just the thought of reinstalling specialised engineering and cad software with all the relevant Dongol/ passwords/ authorisation process calls etc that doesn’t fill me with enthusiasm WIsh I’d never heard of win10 at this moment in time or they’d got it sorted before the free upgrade time expired An absolute pain in the ***** as far as I’m concerned But many thanks for your efforts Even if not successful on this occasion very grateful!

Evan may offer you more suggestions, it is just better to do a repair … then if that fails a clean install. I rarely see an upgrade go smooth.

Hi Mal So darn annoying though! The upgrade from win 7 to 10 on my wife’s and my son’s PC (which are only used for day to day use went ok!) Then on mine which has work /business software on - an absolute pain! Life can be unfair eh?[emoji29]

Someone tell you to download Zoek?

                        Get the Everything Search Engine
Install Program, Right Click Run As Admin. Type Zoek into to search window.
                        Then Click Edit.
                        Select all.
Right Click highlighted items>>>>>>>> Then delete.
                        If that fails…
Copy full name to clipboard. >>>>> Paste content of clipboard, here in your next reply.

Op would rather not do a fresh install.

Thanks Mal. Its weird because all the other screenshots allow me to zoom in to view larger versions without having to copy and paste them in Paint to see the larger versions.

@crackerjack In Autoruns on the Scheduled Tasks tab uncheck (do not remove) the following items:

                              Adobe Reader
                              CCleaner
                              Driver Booster (both entries)
                              PrivaZer
                              TechUtilites
                              Uninstall Programs
                              WinZip (both entries)

Then reboot the computer and we can then perform a repair install of Windows 10 if you still wish to do so.
CAN YOU GIVE ME ANY IDEA WHAT THIS IS -iHAVENT A CLUE WHERE ITS COME FROM
I don’t know how you ended up downloading a different program than the one that is in the tutorial for downloading a Windows 10 ISO file. Are you sure you didn’t click on any other download links by mistake? Zoek is a very specialized tool but we aren’t having you run that tool in this thread so I don’t see how you ended up downloading it.

Please follow the instructions again for downloading the Windows 10 ISO and if you continue to have difficulties, post which exact step you are having trouble with so we can better assist you.

                                hi mal
no never clicked on anything to do with β€œZoek”:-never heard of it
I went through all the process and all went according to the screen shots apart from language which gave me the English international so chose that. Then got download box and where it said sve to where you can find it - the progress bar moved across untill 100% and then the programme reference appeared in its own folder in downloads and I was then going to save it to a disk for the future and if required

Then up game a small pop up box that askked did I wish to let Zoek make changes to my computer which threw me completely and thought in the download Id got a virus infiltration. So I said no and stoppedPC At moment Ive shut down till I could gety your advice but see that the ISO is in the list --but so are two exe copies of Zoek and as I say not a clue where thyeyve come from as I was going to save the ISO and as previously try one last shot using your repair procedure
At moment I am posting this via tablet with safety in mind
I have Iobit power uninstall on PC should I remove Zoek after first using C Cleaner program removalor also remove the Win 10 ISO and start the process over without either on

As I say - had your links and went for the Win 10 procedure as instructed But this Zoek thing ???Never saw any reference about it whasoever and havent a clue but 2 copies of the exe file are in the downloads alaong with the ISO !! Totally confused as I say Never evfen heard of it before
I do periodic checks with Malwarebytes (as per previous advice from this site ) and use Bit Defender - again as advised by one of your colleagues previously ) and have never had any β€œmajor” prob with trojans etc before since being on XP Proo
                                Please advise Thanks
