Reason why it was important that we had the Speccy url;
Windows Defender
Windows Defender: Enabled
Firewall
Firewall: Enabled
Display Name: Norton 360 for Gamers
Antivirus
Windows Defender
Antivirus: Enabled
Virus Signature Database: Up to date
Norton 360 for Gamers
Antivirus: Enabled
Virus Signature Database: Up to date
Power Profile
Active power scheme: High performance

Speccy is telling us that you have not correctly achieved either of the two suggestion that were made in my reply #10.

The Windows Power Plan we know with 100% certainty has not been set to Balanced as was advised but the Norton you may well have tried but been unsuccessful, this unfortunately is what happens with invasive software and to make matters worse both Norton and Defender are both running and so are their Firewalls.

Which would normally suggest that it is the game that is the issue and something that helpers can do zero about, that said, I suspect that this may be a VR issue between the game and the VR headset but you really need to get rid of that Norton crap and change the Power Plan to Balanced before doing anything else, we are at a stop here until those two known problematic things are sorted.

Norton still showing up certainly is strange, but I set the power plan to high performance so I could run Tarkov effectively. Here’s a new speccy url.

Yeah Norton is still there but I’m not sure what I can do about that. I tried looking for it in my apps, task manager, firewall settings, control panel, and I couldn’t find anything about it.

How did you try to remove Norton’s - from the removal tool supplied in post #10 or from Programs & Features and the normal uninstall process?

I used the removal tool that was supplied, and made sure to not reinstall

Post a new MTB fo us, if Norton shows up there we will have to get rid of it another way.

Just a thought, do you recall having ever having installed drivers specific to this hardware, same for any firmware updates for the headset.

here’s the mtb
as for the drivers, as much as I looked on the razer website I couldn’t find driver downloads for it. I assume one of the razer apps handles it.

The Intel Driver & Support Assistant is causing you issues, suggest that you uninstall it, How to Uninstall the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant (Intel® DSA)

No signs of Norton but Windows Defender is having issues, did you stop the last Defender scan.

If any traces of Norton are hanging around Windows Defender will have issues.

I don’t think I stopped the last one, also I couldn’t find any trace of the drivers on that website, I looked on the same page beforehand. I took care of the intel thing though.

So have you been stopping them in the past, the errors are persistent.

The Razer software is a roll-up and you need to get rid of the old before you install the new, don`t do this until we have gotten to the bottom of the Windows Defender problem, the Razer software that you require is How to re-install the New Razer Synapse, Synapse 3 & 2.0 on Windows but as said hold off on this for now, we want to start with a clean slate.

The above shows that the Razer and Steam software both have issues and the first thing that you do when you have problems with programs is uninstall and then reinstall them, this unless you have the luxury of any program having a Repair tool which most don’t.

Your computer to do with as you see fit and for our part we have made recommendations and it is now up to you.

When you are ready can you post a new Speccy url and MTB log for us. if we can still see Norton we will have to eradicate it another way,

Just a thought, can you check your browser plug-ins/extensions to see if Norton is also hiding in there.

Unfortunately that didn’t help, I took a couple mtbs, one while it’s running and one while it isn’t, in case you might be able to deduce something from them. Also I checked my extensions on both browsers, no sight of it.

You can probably guess which is which
