Under no circumstances should you be powering up the system without having cleaned off the old thermal paste and re applied the correct amount of fresh paste as described at the link that I provided in my reply #16, for your convenience link here and yes the old paste must be removed from the heatsink as well before you tint it. -

Ok, will wait on your next update, hopefully no beeps means that you will soon be up and running.
Fitting a graphics card is pretty straight forward, you insert it into the slot, connect the power connection from the PSU (6 pin here I do believe) connect the video cable to the card and the screen, connect the mains power, power up and hopefully get a display, a basic guide hereComment

You can do nothing until the video card and hard drive have been fitted, the computer will fail the power on self test (POST) without them.Comment
