    Hi lazy. Your computer’s BIOS download is located here, Dell OptiPlex 760 Drivers.

    Go ahead and install the latest BIOS update for your system and after the BIOS is updated, you will be able to upgrade to one of the CPU’s that jmarket mentioned.

    If it was me and I had the money for the upgrade I would get the best CPU that your motherboard supports which is this one, Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 Processor 3.0 GHz 12 MB Cache Socket LGA775.

                The Intel Core 2 Quad processor was released in 2008. Your motherboard was released in 2009. You’ll be fine Your computer is also a mini-tower, so it’ll support:

                Q9550

                Q9650

                Q9400

                Q8300

                Q8200
