    Mouse dpi keeps on resetting

Hi, I use Fantech’s X4s Titan wired mouse. I have been using it for over a year now (not exactly sure). Recently, I am facing the problem of its dpi setting resetting. I use the mouse’s in-built button to increase its dpi speed and not through the mouse settings in the pc.

Is it time to change the mouse or is there a way to fix this issue?

    Thank you.

      Hi Maxim123,

Does Fantech have a software you use to to set your dpi settings and the like.

If so, look for a setting that allows you to set the default, this could be a configuration cog, a more options ellipses “…”, or a circle you can click on.

      Something like this:

Hi, there is no software with the mouse. I change the dpi settings with the mouse button itself, and it resets everytime I turn the laptop on. I know I didn’t press the dpi button accidentally because the dpi settings reset even while I was just moving the mouse without pressing anything.
This is more prominent when I play league of legends. I think the problem started when I updated/reinstalled the league(can’t be certain). I am not certain if I have experienced dpi reset when I am doing normal work i.e just browsing sites. I spend a lot of time in league and the dpi reset can be noticed instantly when I am playing the game. I don’t play any other game other than league.

Is it possible to set the maximum dpi of the mouse with some software or laptop’s mouse control settings and set it there permanently? From what I have tried before, increasing the dpi with mouse control settings made it feel like the mouse cursor was lagging.

ahh the above paragraph structure might be a bit confusing. But dpi resetting when laptop turns on is something normal I think, the problem is dpi resetting in middle of the game.

            As per Fantech’s website:
            [HEADING=2]How do I customize my mouse’s settings?[/HEADING]
Our Fantech software allows you to customize settings such as scrolling speed, DPI, RGB lighting, macros and more. In some models, advanced settings like polling rate, angle snapping, and debounce time can be set too.

You need their software to make changes to your mouse, you should be able to find it here: Download-mice – Fantech World

Hi, I downloaded the software, and set max dpi in all dpi profiles of the mouse. It is currently late at night here, so I will only be able to check tomorrow and report back on the performance.
Thank you for the link. I didn’t know there was a software for it.

You should be able to just set one as your default, I would do this so your have more options than just the one set of DPI, but whatever works for you is best!

Yes, will do that. Thank you once again It seems that the issue is solved. Checked in one round of league just earlier, and the dpi did not reset.

There is one more issue. The mouse scroll works strangely. Like I scroll down, but the pages or anything moves between up and down. Should I make a different thread for it?

It is not a big issue during normal use, but is quite irritating when I have to scroll through large documents.

Mouse settings changer is a portable freeware App without GUI to change Mouse settings via cmd or script without open Mouse Properties.

I am not sure if it is the settings issue, but I did go there and changed the settings again and applied, but it didn’t work.

The issue is mouse scrolling effecting both up and down movement. Like scroll down (with 3 lines per scroll setting) would be 3 lines down and 1 line up at the same time or staying at the same place.

This happens not too often - it lasts anywhere from few seconds to ten or so seconds in 10 mins or so - but it is quite obvious. The scroll bar in website or pages moves like it is having a spasm.

PS. If you meant using the bat file in the link, one comment says that it instead messed up their mouse control.
