    Touchscreen not working

    Hi!

I just got my Lenovo Erazer S130 and things were going great using the attachable keyboard and mouse. I wanted to see if my old stylus would work and it wasn’t. But then I realized my finger wouldn’t work either. I didn’t try it earlier as I still have the protective film on it since I didn’t get my screen protector yet. Even when I disconnect the keyboard/mouse, the touch still doesn’t work. I tried peeling the side of the film back to see if it was the film covering issue (didn’t do anything in the corner). Since it is thinner than a screen protector, I would assume that wouldn’t be the issue. I tried to configure through the tablet settings, but crosshairs never popped up. I did see it enabled in device manager and update did not find something new. It does say Pen and touch support with 10 touch points. I tried resetting Windows, but same issue. All Windows Updates should now be up to date currently.

Does anyone have a suggestion I can try? Thanks!

Let me know if you need anymore info.

Here is a quick rundown of what I’ve tried over the past week…

Settings: calibrate touchscreen (crosshairs never appeared so didn’t work). It does say it has the touchscreen capability in system properties.
In Device Manager: disable, enable, uninstall, and check for updates on the HID complaint touch screen (it was enabled and there to start with)
I checked the services and they were all running. I also checked the bios, but couldn’t find anything that was enable/disable the touchscreen from there.
Reset Windows 11, Clean Install Windows 10, Upgrade to Windows 11, Clean install Windows 11.
The driver was in the device manager for all the above except the clean windows 11 install. The supplier supplied a driver for goodixdriver that added it to the device manager, but touchscreen still never worked.
It also hasn’t worked in the recover modes and I booted to Linux via Ubuntu (it was suggested to see if it was a Windows problem) where it also didn’t work.
At this point, I’m assuming it is a hardware problem and I’ll have to send it back for a new one.

Here’s the limited feedback on Lenovo’s website I posted on.

Download then run Speccy ( free ) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

Download MiniToolBox and save the file to the Desktop.

                        Close the browser and run the tool, check the following options;

List last 10 Event Viewer Errors
                        List Installed Programs
                        List Devices (Only Problems)
List Users, Partitions and Memory size

                        Click on Go.

Post the resulting log in your next reply for us if you will.
