Try and set a static ip for the machine with Simple Static IP.
It works for windows 10.
Then find the best DNS server for the computer, and see if that helps.
I went to download that Simple Static, and it wants me to down load some zip thing, so I declined. I do not know how to find the best DNS server for my computer. I think it is time to call my internet provider. I find it extremely strange that I have 3 laptops from 4 years old to about 14 years old, and they all download at about 70 Mbps. even with an ethernet cable attached, but my tower downloads at 600 Mbps. Many thanks for all your support and suggestions. If I get any satisfaction from my internet provider, I will post back. Thanks again, Mike
It tells me that the Simply static tool can not be downloaded safely. I have no other option, like download it anyway. I will try to call my ISP today maybe
I tried at lease 6 times the past few days to download that tool. I always get a message at top that says THE SIMPLE STATIC IP SETUP CAN NOT BE DOWNLOADED SECURELY. I do NOT have another option like DOWNLOAD IT ANYWAY. The weird thing is, even if I wait about 15 minutes, and then close out PCHELPFORUM etc. I get a message that the download is still in progress, if I close out, I will loose it. Anyway, like I said I have already waited 15 minutes, and nothing. I just called my ISP he told me the laptop is only designed to download at 100 Mbps max. That makes a LITTLE sense, because I have two other older laptops that only download at about the same speed. I asked then if I bought a new $1000 laptop, would it still only download at a maximum of 100 Mbps. He said he did not know. This laptop is only about 3-4 years old. Guess it is as good as it is going to get. I have seen a small improvement. The downoad speed before I tried your suggestions was about 60 to 70 Mbps. Now it is all the way up to 95 Mbps. ha ha.
