I recently bought an Acer Aspire 5 (A515-46-R3CZ), and the sound devices (in Device Manager) and drivers randomly stop working and wonβt work again for several days. Iβve tried reinstalling drivers from Acerβs website, to no avail. I have a monitor with speakers built into it plugged into the laptop by way of an HDMI cable, and the laptop always registers those speakers, even when it forgets it has its own speakers (as well as the 3.5mm headphone jack). What could cause the laptop to randomly forget its sound devices and randomly remember them days later? Edit: It runs on Windows 11, if that helps.

All the sound devices are affected this way.
Since you have had the system.
There is a known issue with Windows 11, version 22H2 do not know if that is what is going on here.
Tried an older version of the driver software from the Acer site.
Have you contacted Acer to notify them it could be something covered under warranty. Something may have come loose during shipping.
Tested speakers on another system. -
Should you need it.
