I need to do some research the manual does not show any bios details.
You could try looking in the bios and see if it has a legacy or MBR option.
If yes try changing that then change the hard drive to MBR with diskpart
      and try to load windows.
No harm since it will not boot now

Can you put the original 250gig in another computer and run chkdsk on it ?
I need to see if the Acer can take a 1TB M2.

Could be corrupt and may be why try creating a new download of the ISO.
          Download Windows 10
          Also as per Rustys question

Acer Swift SF315-41 Compatible SSD Upgrades

Samsung 860 EVO 1 TB SATA M.2 (2280) Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) (MZ-N6E1T0)

                    Couple of examples of feedback;

It booted. Mark off because I thought it was NVME when I purchased (or rather, I didn’t know there was different M.2 types).

I wanted to get two of the 960 EVO Pro M.2 drives but my build was already too expensive. I’m not throwing shade at the 860 at all, as it transfers files very quickly. Even without the NVMe protocol, I feel like Samsung has truly gotten it right. Wouldn’t go with any other manufacturer when it comes to M.2 SSDs.

Not sure what else you need to know other than the drive that you have is not compatible and that you need the device at the link/s in my reply #24.

but i have since sorted my problem fwiw

the 970 evo was never going to work because the acer is not compatible with nvme ( thanks for the i/p )
the other issue about failling at 84% installing devices ( which i though i posted ) was sorted by
turning off secure boot. . . . it installed normally after doing this. . . β™ͺβ™ͺ
much obliged for your help and support
