Hi Dave, the first thing we need you to do is make sure you have an image of your hard drive. You can use Windows own native backup app, or probably a better choice would be to install and use Macrium free HERE or Aomei free HERE. Macrium might be a good choice, just be sure to backup ALL partitions of C:\ drive. Give a shout if you need a hand?
With Macrium if you select the box shown below it will backup all partitions, and you may have more or less partitions than those shown below.

Gus, are you saying do the above before I back up the recovery drive to disk or usb??

It really doesnβt matter if you make an image before or after, but taking an image will actually also backup the recovery partition. It is just necessary before any junk is removed from the machine, a safeguard.
Mal. I have gotten the new laptop up and running and there doesnβt seem to be any real bloatware listed anywhere. Fast startup and quick between websites. What say you??
