            Well,it was an option online but it was an option that i couldn’t afford at the time of the purchase. i bought my computer online

              Your laptop comes with a standard 1 year warranty.. I am thinking that what was offered was an extended warranty to go along with that purchase.

                The best thing to do is call Acer and see what they say. If you start tearing into the system you will VOID any warranty you may have had.
