Pc wont turn on when side panel is on

Hello im making a thread for quick answer or solution to a problem my pc wont turn on or display on monitor when my side panel is on i would assume it’s because of my cooler that is pressing against the case panel should i just leave the panel off as i have been doing for a long time or is there another issue with the pc

So side panel off - PC runs normally.
Side panel on - PC doesn’t even boot?

What is actually pressing against the side cover, the heat sink, or a fan?
    Include a picture.

the pins or what it is on the top of the cooler is to big for the case and presses against the side panel

Either leave off - better cooling.
OR Mark case and drill holes to accommodate the pins.
          OR Buy a new case.

Is it a metal side cover as apposed to the see-through plastic ones?
If so, must be creating a short circuit - definitely stop using it and go plastic or even better, as Peter says, get a bigger case.

The issue can be caused by an uneven pressure being applied atop of the CPU by the heatsink when the side panel is in place, same thing happens when a heatsink is not mounted correctly as in when not all mounting points are equally as tight or aligned.

If there are no animals or small children around leaving the side of the case is fine, many people do this in countries where the temps get really high.

I personally wouldn’t purchase a new case to resolve this as there are other ways around it other than the already advised by Peter and Bruce respectively.
