Hi,
I bought a Dell XPS 8950 with GeForce RTX 3060Ti 8gb earlier this year. Since I’ve had it, when I shut down the computer just before it powers off completely the GPU fan makes a grinding/whirring sound for about 1.5 seconds, as if a piece of paper has been caught in one of the blades. It is not the same sound as when the fans crank up under heavy use.
I’m not aware of any problems with the GPU and everything seems to work as it should.
Does anyone know if this sound is normal or should I be concerned as it’s bugging me.
Many thanks,
Adam
