I have bottleneck because of my RAM. Speccy says it runs at 1333 MHz. What RAM should I buy so I have dual channel running at 2667 MHz?

Hello! So I’ve decided to upgrade my PC because it’s getting older and has started to run slowly. I am currently replacing my PSU and RAM because they are the two components that are causing me the most trouble. I’ve already thought that instead of my current PSU, I should buy an MS-CORE M500 500W 80+ Platinum ER (Maybe you will suggest something else), but now I need to know what RAM I should buy. Also, I would love to hear your honest opinion on what I should upgrade next. 60% of the time I’m watching series, movies, and videos, and the remaining 40% is spent playing video games, some of which are new.

Current setup:
Processor: Intel Core i5-9500 (changed thermal paste and ran through some benchmarks; it seems totally fine).
Graphics Card: Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 1660 (with 3 fans, nails all benchmarks)
SSD: Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVMe PCIe M.2 250GB
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB
Memory: Micron AFLD416FS1P 1x16GB (a weird one as I can’t really find it on the internet to see its specifications)
Motherboard: MSI H370 GAMING PLUS (MS-7B22)
Monitor: ViewSonic VX3216-SCMH-W 75Hz
PSU: Zeus 600W (No efficiency rating; and it is actually 480W; the PC is turning off by itself because of it).
Keyboard: AOC GK410
Mouse: Whiteshark GM-9000 Morholt
Headphones: JBL Quantum 400

Software:
OS: Windows 10
BIOS Date: 21.10.2022
Nvidia Graphic driver 536.23

Again, give me your honest opinion. My budget is moderate; for example, nothing more than $110 for a PSU and $60 for RAM. You can suggest that I change some other components later. Thank you in advance!

PSU is fine unless you plan to go bigger later on the GPU. You don’t need Platinum, gold is fine, one with at least a five-year warranty.

The HDD- If at some time you could upgrade this to a SSD, things would be faster. I have 2 SSD’s One for the OS and one for everything else, including games, etc.

The PSU is often the item that people try to save money. The PSU is the last component you would want to shortcut.

When it comes to performance there is nothing Platinum about the above, it has a suspect 80+ efficiency rating and a measly 12 month warranty, not very confident in their products are they.

Suggest you post a link to from where you will most likely make any purchases.

It’s never optimal to mix different brands of RAM. It might work, it might not. I would get two of the same brand, speed, timings, etc.

The below is from my reply #8 at your previous thread;
Any alternative links, there is nothing at the previous two that is appropriate to what you need, any good brand is way over the top both wattage and cost wise, ideally we are looking for something 500W Gold efficiency rated and from either EVGA or Seasonic, the Corsair RM range which I also recommend did make an RM 450 and RM550 but not sure if they are still readily available.

I did manage to find a 16GB stick of RAM here same speed and voltage but it does not give any CAS Latency details, it is always advisable to purchase two identical sticks in a dual channel kit as that is the only way to prevent compatibility issues.

The PSU as I said previously is being misrepresented, it is not Platinum efficiency rated and the manufacturer is playing word games by describing it as Platinum.
