PC Starting Issue

Had this problem since i updated the bios , before that i had it occasionally.
Everytime I start my PC it gets lit up/ fans ramp up as normal but all Monitors remain black and dont even get woken up.
My “EZ Debug LED” for CPU stays lit and nothing happens.
If i wait for about half a minute and force shutdown with the Powerbutton and restart, it starts normally booting into windows etc.
Sometimes when restarting it shutsdown and autorestarts itself and boots into windows.
(When my PC can boot normally i have no other issues that might link to this)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
MB: (MSI) MPG X570 Gaming Plus
GC: MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X 8GB
RAM: 4x8GB G.Skill Trident Z 3600MHz
AMI BIOS ver. : 7C37vAJ

(p.s. Dont know if its relevant but i cant enable CPU-Virtualization, if i do i can not start my pc until i reset CMOS )

Missing from your parts list is the most important information, the brand and model name or number of the PSU.

The RAM is not appropriate for your CPU, AMD state here up to 3200MHz and if you have XMP or DOCP enabled the RAM will get auto OCd past what the CPU can handle and the PC fall over.

Go into the BIOS, disable XMP and then manually set the RAM to run at 3200MHz and the voltage to 1.35V.

You should also make sure that the Windows Power Plan is set to Balanced and not High Performance or Ryzen Balanced.

Thanks for replying

PSU is “Corsair RM 750x”
Forgot about that one, my apologies

I changed the vaules in the BIOS, will update here if i notice changes.

(What i dont really understand is that the CPU should support 3600MHz, thats why i picked it.
“The Infinity Fabric´s Sweet Spot of 3rd Gen Ryzen” as some do say where i Informed myself.)

No worries and nice to see a PSU that is appropriate for the build it is expected to support.

People need to remember that it is the hardware manufacturer that is expected to honour any warranty should something go wrong and that is why you 100% need to follow their guidance and not some gaming mag or faceless keyboard warrior, AMD say3200MHz and that is what you should stick with unless you want to try manually OCing the CPU to match the speed of the RAM, that would open up a whole new can of worms in itself.

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

To avoid us having to ask for an update every couple of days we will close this thread until the OP has the time available to work towards resolving the issue, PM a member of staff when you are ready and the thread can be reopened.

Can I ask that you do not quote every reply as we have to read the full post to make sure nothing gets missed, thanks.

There are a couple of flags regarding your storage devices, a major concern is the amount of free storage space you have on your boot drive, the latest cumulative Windows may not install because you are right on the limit but even if it does you are heading for trouble regardless.
Windows should either be on its own separate 256GB boot drive with nothing else on there but the chipset, storage and video drivers or on a 256GB partition on a larger capacity storage device, this avoids data corruption, running out of free storage space and last but not least it makes backing up the boot drive/partition so much easier.
Partition ID: Disk #0, Partition #2
Disk Letter: C:

ST4000DM004-2CV104
partition 0
Partition ID: Disk #2, partition #0
Size: 1.00MB
partition 1
Partition ID: Disk #2, partition #1
Size: 3.63TB
ST4000DM004-2CV104
partition 0
Partition ID: Disk #3, partition #0
Size: 1.00MB
partition 1
Partition ID: Disk #3, partition #1
Size: 3.63TB

For Windows to be able to run efficiently and to be able to update you need to have between 20 and 25% of the partition or drive available on a HDD and an SSD between 10 and 15% as free storage space at all times, if you don`t you risk Windows becoming corrupt or not being able to update which puts you at risk of malware attack.

Data only storage devices should not be allowed to get any lower than 10% of free storage space of the full capacity of the drive/partition on the drive, this also to avoid data corruption.

Please note that storage devices can physically fail if the amount of free storage space is allowed to drop below the required 10 or 20/25% minimum.

Not sure why but no free storage space information is reported for the Seagate.

Uninstall as many unused programs, games, videos and music files as you can and get yourself another means of backing up to, post back when you have between 20 and 25% free storage space on the C: drive/partition and we can go from there.

I used the C drive for storage before i had many of the other drives, decluttered it now (271GB free now).
As for the Seagate drives, not sure if its because i “Mirrored” them as to get RAID 1, even though it says no RAID Type.
They are about a bit less than half Full at 1,9TB free Storage.

C: looks good now but not sure why the Seagate has a red as opposed to a blue bar

Suggestion, take the Samsung SSD and the Seagate HDD offline, restart the PC to see if you have the same boot issue.

When you post back to let us know how the above went can you let us know if you have ever installed the RAID drivers for your MB.
