Possible switch to Nvidia from AMD

HI, I have been having problems with AMD for the past couple of months. I get screen flickers and driver timeouts on a day to day basis mostly when gaming. I have tried almost every solution like updating BIOS, using DDU in safe mode, AMD cleanup utility in safe mode, reinstalling windows, reverting to older drivers and nothing worked. I am curently thinking about switching to Nvidia to rid these problems. Will that actually fix it?

I am thinking that it is your psu that may be causing the issues. For gaming you really need a psu that is in the gold standard..

after switching my hdmi monitor cable to a display port cable (running double displayport now), I haven’t seen any screen flickering or any driver timeouts. It has been like 5 days so far. So far so good for now and will update if it happens again.

                good outcome.
maybe it was a dodgy HDMI cable, did you try another?
but if you are working using DP then don’t rock the boat.

not necessarily. i even upgraded to a 2.1 hdmi cable and still no success.

could be many things; bad HDMI port on the PC or the monitor, EMP interference in the cable, version of cable and if supported by both connected devices, shielded cable, just plain bad cable,… who knows.

nothing has happened for the past two weeks. maybe, I think it’s safe to say it’s fixed?
