Sorry this is my last question for today but about the ram thing wouldn’t a single stick still run at 2400mhz I was just curious about this since a single stick is 2400mhz like I have one stick in right now and it says my speed is 2400mhz

Your RAM when there are two matching sticks which enables dual channel will allow the RAM to work at 2400MHz.
Because you only have the one stick of RAM in the board it can only work in single channel at circa 1200MHz.
You can check both of your Speccy reports again if you like;
From your latest Speccy report;
Memory
Type: Unknown
Size: 8192 MBytes
Channels #: Single
DRAM Frequency: 1196.5 MHz
CAS# Latency (CL): 16 clocks
RAS# to CAS# Delay (tRCD): 16 clocks
RAS# Precharge (tRP): 16 clocks
Cycle Time (tRAS): 39 clocks
Command Rate (CR): 2T
Physical Memory
Memory Usage: 39 %Comment

Thank you for explaining again I’m sorry I know it’s probably annoying just didn’t understand it fully appreciate the in depth explanation I was just confused on how the stick says a certain speed but that’s only if you have dual channel I’m sorry for asking so much but the info really helpsComment

No worries, one of the previous explanations that had to be given was an unnecessary one, not down to you so don[ICODE]t worry, as long as you have grasped the explanation that[/ICODE]s all that matters.Comment

Not great news but it at least crosses off something on the check list.
Check the CPU using the Intel test tool this should flag up any issues with the memory controller.
The only test after the above is to run Memtest on each of the two sticks of RAM, this is time consuming as you need at least 4 or 5 passes for each stick, if both pass this testing you have confirmed that it is the slot on the MB that is bad.Comment

Passed cpu test I’m just gonna not do the memtest sadly because I don’t have a working usb and I’m 99.99 percent sure it’s the MOBO sadly I was looking everywhere yesterday and realized how much harder it is to get 7th gen motherboard in my price range so idk what I’m gonna do as of now I found my same motherboard on eBay for a really good price refurbished it looks legit just scared to buy **** off eBay do you have any opinion on what a I should do with my money situation and stuff should I just buy the motherboard off eBay

That MB does not support your CPU, check the CPU compatibility info here and you will see that it only supports 8th & 9th gen processors.Comment

Damn I really need help looking for a motherboard I was only trying to spend like 100 dollars none on Amazon all the ones on Newegg take a month and most on eBay take a month from China so I really don’t know what to do at this point I really don’t feel like waiting a monthComment
-
Well the ones on Amazon are just out of my price range I just don’t know what to do at this pointComment

Send the seller a question and ask them to confirm that the board has the latest BIOS, this is needed for 7th gen CPUs to be recognised.Comment

Honest answer, 16GB will be no better than 8GB, there is only the likes of flight sims that actually use that much RAM and most games do not even utilise anywhere near 8GB, if you are going to stick with this MB, stick with 8GB of RAM.
Curious, you were willing to pay out for a new MB but not spend a couple of bucks on a USB thumbdrive to be able to test your RAM, bit of a no brainer really as you should always have a couple of such devices for creating a Windows ISO and recovery drive on.Comment

I’m just not willing to waste the time buying a usb when I know it’s not the ram sticks that are broke I can just borrow from a friend if I ever really needed one which I will again once I get a new motherboard this situation just sucksComment
