New build.. no picture/ cpu fan not running - tried everything!

    Hi there,

I built my new PC today with the following specs:
    Corsair 200r case
    I5 10600kf cpu
    Asus prime Z490-P motherboard
    Gtx 1060 6gb gpu
    Corsair VS650 (650W PSU)
    WD BLUE M.2 drive
Corsair vengeance lpx 32gb 3000mhz RAM

After building it and turning it on initially I noticed that it seemed very quiet and there was no image on my monitor. After further inspection I noticed that the cpu fan isn’t running at all, and that the other fans seem to be running very sluggishly. Ive looked at it over and over ensuring everything is connected correctly and by this point I feel like I’m going crazy! I’ve tried all of the below:
    Reinserting the RAM
    Changing RAM slots
Trying one stick of RAM instead of two
Reinserting all MOBO cables multiple times
Reinserted the cpu and cpu fan
I’ve tried powering it on without the GPU
    I’ve tried a Corsair 750W psu
I’ve tried running the PC outside of the case Incase of any shortages

I do notice that there is an optional additional 4pin power plug next to the CPU 8pin power (which I’m currently plugged into, as well as the main motherboard plug (30 pins or something), but the manual says this is optional, and I would’ve thought I’d get something a little more than what I’m currently receiving!

If anyone has any ideas of things I could try please let me know! I’ve been working on this for like 10 hours now and really just wanna sit down and watch the Mandalorian!
    Thanks in advance,
    Ben

    Hello Bouncyben50,

    Couple of suggestions;

Connect the four pin EATX 12V CPU power connector on the MB.

If you are certain that you have the CPU fan connected to the correct header on the MB, try connecting the CPU fan connector to one of the four pin chassis fan headers to see if the CPU fan spins up, if it does it suggests that the CPU fan header is bad and you need to RMA the board.

Use the CX 750W PSU, not ideal when there is an add on GPU but it is better than the VS 650W PSU, VS = Value Series which are below even the CX range when it comes to intended use which Corsair recommend them for an office or home PC.
