    Reboot Cycle and No Signal

    Ill try to make this short. A few days ago i turned my computer on only for it to say no signal on my monitor. I fidgeted with the dvi cord and monitor cord for awhile, i rebooted my pc and eventually the monitor got signal. The next day when i turned my pc on the monitor had no signal again so i tried the same thing as before but nothing was working, after leaving it run for a few hours the screen ‘magically’ came back on, its been fine for 2 days until i had to restart my pc last night. Then the no signal thing happened again but nothing will fix it at all, ive reseated every piece of my computer and now I think its in a reboot cycle, when i turn it on the fans spin for about 20 sec then stops and then spins again.

    I have tried rebooting without my gpu in and plugging a vga cord into my mobo, removing ram and rebooting, removing hard drive reboot. My brother whos more computer hardware savvy has done a bios reset? (Removing the mb battery and re placing it)

    I can say for sure that my ram, hard drive, monitor and dvi/vga cords are not the issue with no signal. My brother said it could be that my motherboard is fried, or my cpu is. Im not understanding the reboot cycle thing at all, but maybe a power supply issue?

    My cpu: AMD Ryzen 5
    Gpu: Geforce GTX 1050Ti
    Motherboard: ASRock B450 pro4

    I really hope i can fix something and not have to replace my mobo or cpu. Any suggestions?

    Couple of questions if I may;

    Which Ryzen 5 CPU it is that you have

    What is the brand and model name or number of the PSU.

    A reboot cycle is typical behaviour of either a flaky hard drive or Windows being corrupt but what you describe above sounds more like one of the following, a short circuit, a bad PSU or overheating causing the thermal trigger to shut down the computer to protect the CPU from frying, make sure that the CPU cooling fan is connected to the correct fan header on the MB and that the heatsink is sitting as it should atop of the CPU.

      It is a ryzen 5 2600x 6-core
      My psu is EVGA 500w 80 plus, the model number is 100-W1-0500KR

      Thank you for those suggestions, i have checked everything multiple times and there are no loose connections anywhere in my comp. I had my father look over everything and hes said its not in a reboot cycle and the problem is just no display and no bios popping up. he’s said the psu is fine but the motherboard is not posting. He thinks the issue is a faulty motherboard so i agree that it could be short circuits. I am going through my mb manufacturers warranty and after i do all of that i will see if it fixes the issue and ill let you know.

        This explains why you do not get any video when you remove the add on video card from the MB and connect to one of the video ports on the MB, for any of these ports to work you need a CPU that has on die graphics which unfortunately your CPU does not have, see info #3 at your MB specs here and your CPU specs here

        That is a budget PSU which are not good for using in a computer that has an add on video card, they are only intended for office type computers that have onboard video and you ideally should have a minimum of a Bronze efficiency rated PSU even for a GTX 1050Ti.
