Hi, no worries about the delay!
Yep, I tested it with the ATX power connectors hooked up (and could see the case fans, gpu fans, and case lights power on).
Used quotes from a couple of posts to emphasise what has previously been asked, an explanation as to why the suggestion was made, what the test results could tell us and what we needed you to tell us after you had done the suggested test.

Remove all RAM from the MB, keep the add on video card out, connect to the appropriate video port on the MB, power up then post back and let us know if you heard any error beeps.

Pulled out the ram and gave it a shot and still no POST.

A MB will not pass the power on self test (POST) if there is no RAM in the board so no POST was to be expected, what we were looking for was to see if you got any error beeps when there was no RAM in the board, if you get error beeps with no RAM in the board it normally suggests that things are ok up to the point that the RAM is tested and the problem is therefore after it, the graphics device is tested after the RAM so no screen + error beeps with the RAM removed commonly = graphics device failure.
If there are no error beeps with the RAM removed the two most common faults are a bad PSU or MB and in that order.
After making sure that the 4 pin and the 24 pin ATX power leads were securely connected, all RAM removed from the MB, the add on video card physically removed from the MB, the screen connected to the appropriate video port on the MB, when you power up the computer, do you hear any error beeps.

Yep, I had tried this earlier - pulled everything from the computer except the CPU/fan, then tried to power it on with the 4pin and 24pin ATX power leads connected and everything turned on (case fan, cpu fan, case LEDs), but no display or beeps. I can try i again.
Try the test again by all means but as you have already tried a replacement PSU all the signs at the moment indicate that the MB or CPU has failed, a MB is more prone to failure than a CPU so the board is the likely culprit.
Just took some time over the weekend to try booting again with nothing but the CPU and basically the same behaviour unfortunately. No POST sounds and now display to video.
Thanks for the update, sorry that it is not better news though
Looks like the MB is bad I`m afraid as you would normally get error beeps if the board was good but the CPU had issues, you having tried a known good PSU supports this.

Yeah that seems likely. Maybe if I can find a cheap LGA 1155 board sometime, I’ll try moving things over and see what’s going on. (I assume it’s totally not worth trying to find someone to diagnose and fix the MB haha) Thanks for the help!
Going back to my reply #17, you never answered the following question that was asked, it would be wise to do so before contemplating replacing the MB, explanation, a functional MB that has a factory fitted or add on BIOS error speaker will give out error beeps if bad RAM or CPU issues are detected.

If my memory is correct  you have previously swapped in a known good PSU so if no beeps after doing the above it more or less confirms a bad MB.

Yeah, my latest test was pulling out the RAM as well so the only thing was the CPU and the PSU (and the connections to the case that I didn’t remove like the USB heads and LEDs).
Does look like the board has failed I`m afraid, last thing to be done would be to remove the MB and do a barebones test on a piece of cardboard that is larger than the MB, do you know how to do a barebones set up.
