          The light may be on but that doesn’t mean anything.

          The bare minimum is 400W, but with that you’re not leaving much power for the rest of the system though. The CPU, motherboard, hard drive, etc. all need power, and the GPU requires it’s own power cable to it which draws even more power from the PSU.

            I suspect that the problem could be that your MB is Legacy as opposed to UEFI BIOS, to check;

            Press Win + R > type msinfo32 and press Enter.
            Look for the BIOS Mode entry
            If it says Legacy the MB and GPU are not compatible I`m afraid..
