I tried booting into Mint Cinnamon (couldn’t get puppy to work) from a thumb drive, and in the My Computer tab it does not list the EVO 960.

Not sure where to go from here, any help appreciated!
I would clear the CMOS (Red button) marked (CLR-CMOS) and see if it shows.
Also press the (RESET BUTTON) and then reboot, and check.

as to recovering data if you go down that path, get an external enclosure for it.
      they cost about $AUD20.
I’ve recently ditched using USB sticks and got a Samsung m.2 128gig drive and put it into a Simplecom enclosure.
