    To do;

    Create a new system restore point.
    Download and install the latest BIOS and Windows 7 64-bit drivers from here you only want the display and HD audio drivers and not the CCC drivers, see tutorial here provided courtesy of derekimo (y)
    To set up your video card see steps 5 to 12 at the link here

    Need to pop out for an hour or so but will be right back asap, meanwhile, good luck (y)
    I tried to install the Driver the way you wrote, this comes:

      That is odd regarding the GPU BIOS but Windows should not be telling you that you have the latest drivers for your video card installed, problems will often occur when Windows gets involved in updating hardware and by installing generic drivers instead of the specific drivers for the hardware.

      Starting afresh would be my suggestion;

      Download Display Driver Uninstaller DDU from here

      Create a new folder on your desktop and name it R9 drivers, download and save to your new folder the latest drivers for your card from here create a new restore point, uninstall the drivers for your present card using the DDU, restart the computer in Safe Mode only (no networking) install the saved drivers for the R9 card, restart and test.

        Okay, so, I did it, but still no sound.

        However, something curios, but when I was in safe mode, the HDMI Audio Device WAS listed under Device Manager, but now outside of Safe Mode it isn’t! Is there maybe a way to see why that is if I can access it when in safe mode? And why would it appear in safe mode but not outside?

        This Screenshot was from safe mode:

          When you are in Safe Mode only the Windows own generic drivers are installed and none from any third party.

          If not done already, restart in Safe Mode only and see if you get any sound through the TV.

            No, still no sound. I updated this HDMI Audio Device Driver using the Driver from that package, it installed it and it said it finished installing the new drivers, but still nothing.

              In safe mode, no playback devices are listed at all.

                Running out of ideas

                To see if this is a Windows issue download then run the Windows All in One Repair (free) from here, disregard the malware guidance but follow the other steps to the letter and in particular ensuring that you first create a new restore point and perform a proper Windows clean boot before running the repair, details for the clean boot here.

                Will be going offline soon but will check back in the morning UK time.

                  I will do that and report back.

                  Should I maybe try to uninstall that HDMI Audio Device in safe mode? Maybe it’ll force my PC to reinstall it or something like that. Or just disable it, restart my PC and then re-enable it?

                    I would leave as is atm until you have tried the Windows AIO repair tool as you have already confirmed that the HDMI cable and port on the TV are ok, this leaves a Windows or a driver issue imo.

                        Ah, sorry, am colleague of mine asked me if I could take over his weekend shift for him, so I had to work the last few days and haven’t had the time to do that. Tomorrow evening I’ll have some free time and will do it then, and then report back!

                        Sorry that I didn’t report back as of yet!
