I’ve been called on to fix an issue on my mother’s computer. It is not allowing her to access certain common websites. It’s the same way in Chrome/Firefox/Edge. I thought it might be a malware issue and I did find and remove Adaware Web Companion which had found its way onto her system. It did not alleviate the issue however. I ran HitManPro on the system but it only found cookies. I’m a bit stumped as to what the issue is and what to do about it. Has anyone any suggestions?

I’d run Adware cleaner and install UblockOrigin, then reset the hosts file just to be on the safe side. All up to you . thanks for letting us know you took care of the issue, I’ll mark as solved.Comment
