Whew! Lots to digest… I assume that I should do things in the order listed or do they have separate functions. I already deleted Adobe Air, Adobe Player, Glary, and Quicktime. Will check them to make sure they are gone. I assume that I can chose to keep Microsoft Office if I prefer? The USB Remote is to update the tv, etc., remote and I have not used it in years so I’ll find it.

Also, in Programs I have a number of these listed “Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable - x64” with various dates not taking up much space but what is their function?
Is CCleaner good enough to use for the deletions that do not have links?

        Yes do them in order.
As far as keeping the office you choose, that is up to you. I am only making suggestions for you.

The c++ entries you can leave alone.

As far as the ccleaner I’m not clear on what you are asking.

Also, just curious have you noticed any improvement in the overall performance of the machine?

Do I chose the The Developer Pack for the Net Framework update?
Firefox doesn’t support Win 7 any longer, won’t update..
On CCleaner I was asking if you recommended something else instead?

Yes, it is responding somewhat faster. I haven’t been able to really do much on it the last few days except to work with you.
The slowest action is when rendering large photo files from the hard drive. A SSD will probably help.

Just the runtime. Download .NET Framework 4.8 Runtime
            And Ccleaner is fine,

            Let me know when all steps are complete;

Look in the Autologger folder and drag out the CheckBrowsersLNK file.
              To your desktop.

Drag and drop onto the ClearLNK utility .
              After saving ClearLNK to desktop.
              [IMG alt=“move.gif”]https://dragokas.com/tools/move.gif

This is not working. Once I drop the file on top of the ClearLNK icon on the desktop it has me run it. Then a ClearLink window pops up. I tried dragging the file there and received a message that there are no shortcuts?

Ok. We are almost done, can you please re run FRST like you did the first time and post fresh FRST and addition.txt logs so that I can remove any remaining trash.

I’ll get back to this later tonight. I have to run out for a few. Basically we have removed old programs and removed things that are running on the machine that should not have been. You still have a larger than needed startup which could bog the system down. Basically you only need an antivirus starting on the computer everything else can be started by you manually when needed. Having everything start up when you will not use them will only chew resources.

                            Download and run Startup lite.

Looks like you have plenty of free space after this as well.

                              Drive c: () (Fixed) (Total:171.75 GB) (Free:46.51 GB)

I’ll be back with your final fix in a few hours.
