Could be that port can wait and see if the same thing happens on this port and if you connect another device to that port having issues does it replicate on that device?

Just the TV. The sky q box is connected to port 1, with one of the cat6 cables. Never has any issue. Iβve swapped previously between ports 2 and 4 with the TV, with a cat6 and a cat5 cable. Port 3 was used with the powerline adapter with a cat6 cable previous with no issues. TV was fine till today in port 3, with the cat6 cable previously used for the powerline adapter Swapped to port 2 and again connected fineβ¦Comment

Iβve never tried port 1 but 2,3,4 have all had issues eventually. The only time itβs not been an issue is with the cat5 cable I tried, this stayed connected for over a week, until I substituted with a different cat6 cable to test . It would be odd if 3 ports on router were faulty.Comment

Nothing as far as I know apart from the cat6 is 3m, the cat5 I used was 10m. Not sure if you can reset TV network back to factory without completely factory reset the TV, which I would be reluctant to do unless it is the final thing to try, as I have alot of personalized settings. I will have a look though.Comment

Thanks. Yes, Iβve even factory reset it. Itβs a pretty standard setup, for an ISP supplied router. Only changes are the splitting of the WiFi bands, and changing DNS servers from ISP to Google ones. Oddly all other devices connected either wired or wireless are fine apart from occasionally dropping my sonβs phone off WiFiComment

Can you get me a model # off of the TV?
I canβt imagine that a cat 6 cable would cause any issues a cat5 wouldnβt, but worst case, if it works like that it is an option.
None of those changes concern me too much, maybe one of the other advisors sees something else though.
Can you get me the router model # as well? Wouldnβt hurt to look into that firmware issue as well.Comment
