Ok. Start fresh when you come back . Cause you said in post 69 that it started to run but then froze now you say it didnt download.

when i click the download me thing it just a screen, it doesnt go anywhere except notepad i guess.
when i click the frst 32 bit thing a box comes up saying fail to update. but the big box appears saying tool ready to use. i click fix. Nowhere does an icon download anywhere so i can right click and run as adminComment

Click the fix button.

Also, for adware cleaner, you need this older version. The reason it did not work on your machine, is the newer versions do not work on Vista and XP. There will be a prompt for you to update this, but you need to push cancel.

Im back. should i do the adware cleaner after the FRST thing? I noticed last time the thing stopped responding in tghe middle of deleting temp files. I can do that myself. Will it make it go faster? Also, it wont wipe out the bookmarks? When i do it i cant chat here because it closes firefox and chrome.Comment

Back again. Good news is i already have malwarebytes anti-malware. I installed it several years ago. I ran that when you suggested adcleaner. It asked about updates but like you said, it wont update but i gues the older version i downloaded years ago ran and if i remember right from earlier today it scanned about 312,000 files and it didnt find any objects. And, i did what you said on the FRST. I typed downloads in the command box and a Big list of downloads appeared. I found it and right clicked and ran as admin. It didnt take long at all this time. It said fixing complete and you will need to restart because FRST and i think FUBAR are in the same place. I restarted and here i amComment

Im going to do the adcleaner tomorrow and the other malware. Im exhausted. Its working a little better. One of the sites that wouldnt connect just connected. But another one still wont connect. But it works in Chrome for now. Can i try opera again after the adcleaner? Also, i noticed that the sound is much louder on videos since the fix. Thanks and talk tomorrow. I did just do another malware scan and no detected objects found.Comment
