      I don’t do any of this. I work and go to sleep 90% of the time. When I have spare time, I get on computer, watch Frasier on Hulu, read some headlines on Twitter and play Zoo Tycoon. I Never, ever click on anything in any areas to make changes. The computer does all that by itself.
      I’ve never used Linux but someone who seems to know a lot about computers told me it’s the only way to stay away from Windows and Apple, which I would love to do. I don’t care about Apple I guess but I never want to see Windows again.

        I just typed something on Word and when I went to save it, I noticed that β€œfile type” was β€œweb page.” So it Was me. I must have somehow clicked that when I saved something a month or so ago and it has just stayed clicked all this time and saved everything as a Web page. Does that sound right?

          And yes - I just opened the thing I just typed and it opened as Word since I changed the β€˜file type’ to β€˜Word Document’ instead of β€˜Web Page.’ smh at my dang self.

              Internet is stable for now. But it is most of the time. It’s just every now and then that it goes into the β€˜have to diagnose and refresh’ mode. Except for last two weeks. Last two weeks it’s gone into it for a couple hours every day and I’ve had to diagnose and refresh every 30 seconds.

                3 right now. Usually it’s only 2 so this is great! Bet I could search for something and find it without the need for a bathroom/snack break!

                      So Wi-Fi is the better connection. I’m sure I was on it before. Maybe it went to Bluetooth when Dell had me remove the usb Wi-Fi’s and use the Dell built-in Wi-Fi.

                        I have to go. Our landlord died over holidays and kids are selling house. We have until 28th to move and I still haven’t found a place. Have an apt. to look at one in half an hour and it’s a half an hour drive. I don’t know how to take a screenshot but I think I can find Device Manager.

                          Can you go to this site https://support.hp.com/au-en/drivers...series/3575173
                          Click on the + sign next to Diagnostic tool
                          Click on download and run
                          See if this fixes scanner

                                @sbjdteam - we’ll close this for now.
                                when you get back online in the new place, private message a staff member and this thread will be re-opened.

                                good luck.
