I did. It hasn’t done anything. Like… There’s been no noise signifying something new was added. Nothing popped up on screen to tell me something new was added. I’m just assuming it’s working.

there should have been a bing-bong noise (providing sound is working) when the USB device was connected?
are you hearing sounds when playing audio?

if no noise, try another USB port, front or back, doesn’t matter.
if still no luck, try the other USB wireless adapter you had in the draw.

            There we go!
It didn’t bing-bong when I plugged it in originally but it did when I pulled it out just now And when I plugged it back in to a different port!
Thank you so much Bruce and Peter!
Hopefully this solves the problem! If it doesn’t - I’ll be back. lol

Should I go into something like β€˜Settings’ or β€˜Control Panel’ and click on Wi-Fi or does it automatically hook-up itself?

Ummm… Do you have any idea why this dang thing stopped playing DVD’s? House is in a hollow so I lose Internet often. (Any time the weatherman even hints at wind. smh) When that happens, I’m lost w/o Hulu (We don’t have TV.) so I normally throw a DVD in computer. (I pretty much live in my bedroom.)
About two months ago, computer stopped playing DVD’s. I don’t have any idea why. It plays videos I’ve sent it from my phone but it won’t play a store-bought one.

It was a wonderful 24 hours - some before I plugged-in the Wi-Fi and some after. Beginning at 11:00 AM today however…
I’ve had to β€˜diagnose’ and refresh my pages 5 times (so far) in 20 minutes. Not quite as bad as earlier but still very demoralizing.

I’ll tell you - my life is imploding and there seems to be No corner that is being left unmolested.
I realized last week that my Word was doing something weird but I didn’t take time to delve into it. I found an opportunity to apply for a promotion at work today and dug out my resume and…
My Word is publishing everything I write to Internet Explorer! Do you know why it would do that? I can’t edit anything because - apparently - it’s a web page or something. I don’t know.
I have my Internet Explorer shut down. I’ve Never used it. I hate it. I think I put it in a zip file even. But when I use my CCleaner - I notice that Internet Explorer always has stuff in it and the Cleaner is not able to clean it up. I just figured it was a (fairly) benign intrusion to my right to not use it.
But now it’s capturing my Word writings.
I cannot wait to get rid of this whole shebang and get a Linux. smdh

[li]From the Start screen, press the Windows Logo + X key combination.[/li][li]On the menu, click Command Prompt.[/li][li]The Command Prompt window will appear.[/li][li]copy this line -the one in orange - drag mouse over to highlight and right click and copy[/li][li]Put your mouse in the cmd window - right click and paste.[/li][/ol]
                  [COLOR=rgb(243, 121, 52)]ipconfig /all >β€œ%userprofile%\desktop\ipconfig.txt” Press the enter key

This should put a text file on your desktop. Please attach the file in your reply.

Or try a dual boot to linux
                    Have you used linux.

No problem whatsoever. I’m just grateful you’re still with me at all. smh
I don’t do any of this. I work and go to sleep 90% of the time. When I have spare time, I get on computer, watch Frasier on Hulu, read some headlines on Twitter and play Zoo Tycoon. I Never, ever click on anything in any areas to make changes. The computer does all that by itself.

It’s been putting my ProtonMail emails into the Word/Explorer format! I just clicked on something with Internet Explorer picture to see if it would come up in Word instead (it didn’t) and it was an email I sent to someone last week!
