During instalation of windows 10 or 11 I have to put my email address in a box. fair enough no problem. Then , it mixes me up by insisting I put a childs DOB in . Thatβs a laugh since I am 80 years of age. But no matter what I do, I cannot go any further with it. I even tried a fictiscious DOB. Any clues anyone. Thanks in advance. All the best.

Has the account been used previously to set up Windows?
Is the email account one by Microsoft (outlook/hotmail) or third party (google, Yahoo etc)?
Have you logged into your account via Microsoftβs website to see if the DoB is correct there?
If third party have you considered creating an outlook account then using this to set up Windows? -
When installing Windows, it shouldnβt ask to create a MS account if the system is not connected to the internet.
But I think MS may have recently closed that loophole in the latest release of Win11.
Either way, creating a bootable USB stick using Rufus definitely gets around it as I have just recently been upgrading some of our Win10 units to Win11.
Another thing to try is after Windows installs, when it starts prompting you to tweak Windows, thereβs a question of whether the PC will be for personal use or on a domain - pick Domain and it shouldnβt ask for a MS account. (It then never asks for the domain name anyway)Comment

Everything was going fine until I was asked to do this blooming test. You are supposed to move these items around to a certain spot, then click it. You have to do this about 8 times. I gave up after about 6 tries. I could not really make out the items as they were too small. My fault though. as I forgot to switch off my net connection. I will also remember the domain bit as well. Cheers once again. Guys.Comment
