      how did you go with the removal process suggested in post #10?
      has I/O bit software been removed?

        I did take the advice in post #10 and removed I/O bit. I downloaded the manufacturers drivers and installed them but it did not help. Several times now I have uninstalled/reinstalled ProtonVPN and I get internet access without a problem. But when I do a reboot and login again the VPN blocks my internet access. I have tested 3 other VPN’s since and they all work fine. I am giving up on ProtonVPN.
