Install Windows 8.1 over a laptop that came with Windows 10

I just installed a windows 8.1 over windows 10. It doesn’t run properly with bunch of drivers missing. The manufacturer does not support windows 8.1. I can’t download all the driver installation packages for Windows 8.1. Is it possible to identify the make and model of drivers by doing some checking in the system? or by 3rd party driver download software?

Are you sure no drivers on manufacturer site?
    Open device manager
    Right click on device
    Left click on properties
    Left Click on Details tab
Change dropdown to Hardware id - see attached
First line should be the one

Yes. I just checked with them again. They claimed that the only drivers available for this laptop are windows 10 or above since the laptop was not manufactured with windows 8.1 operating system.

I believe my laptop misses the basic drivers as you can see in the screenshot. Say, network adapters, there are only drivers for Ethernet. Nothing for WIFI. And I can’t add a driver to the network adapters even if I found one. There is no basic ones to update from.

Is there no way to get the basic hardware drivers for a fresh install of Windows 8.1 over a pc preinstalled with Windows 10?

Okay. It’s just it’s the OS I have been using. I’d want to keep using it if I could

Also have you tried the windows 10 driver
I think I might have a driver but need to confirm computer first

The first one I found is Lenovo
The one you gave looks like a working one by your pic
Look at the devices and give the pci ven for the Network controller with the yellow mark
