Hi all,
Bit of an odd one here. My dad has a HP 14-bp076sa running Windows 10. On a regular basis (but not consistently) the monitor doesnโt come on after it has been asleep. It happens both when itโs been put to sleep, or gone to sleep by itself, and seems to be unrelated to whether or not the lid is closed at any point during this process.
And it really isnโt coming on, no backlight or anything, not amount of key pressing, or putting the machine back to sleep, or opening and closing the screen resolves the issue. However, as soon as I plug in an external monitor the screen pops back on. Iโm not seeing any flickering etc that suggests there is a loose connection - itโs like windows forgets there is a screen it should be turning on.
Otherwise the machine is fine, it is rarely used for anything other than light browsing and is actually quite nippy for itโs specs and age. Iโve tried reinstalling the graphics drivers and there doesnโt seem to be anything relevant in the Event Viewer.
Have any of you got any suggestions as to a fix?
