freezing/deadlocking and all round bad performance

I have a decent gaming pc for the best part of three years now and especially recently i have started to notice that it’s performance hasnt been too great. I was debating maybe adding more RAM or something but i feel like now my hand has been forced as it has started freezing and becoming completely inoperable every once in a while now, on top of this its readings on task manager seem to be quite high particularly under the RAM heading. I’m open to any solution be it downloading software or upgrading hardware, and any advice on some sort of software that can scan your hardware for problems or anything of the nature would be greatly appreciated.

Kaspersky GetSystemInfo (GSI) Parser allows you to check and fix PC compatibility issues between Kaspersky products and other software. Troubleshoot with Kaspersky GSI Parser!

Uninstall Norton 360 - 22.22.8.15 with Geek Uninstaller.
Then reboot the machine and run the Norton Removal Tool.
Use O&O shutup ten, with suggested and somewhat suggested option ticked, reboot again and test, I will have a more detailed reply later, just let me know how things are after removing Norton, and running the O&O tool.

Norton is know for causing performance issues, so before we do anything else, removing norton and reporting on how things are is the first step I’d take if I were being paid to fix your machine.

I’ve done all that and resting RAM usage remains mostly unchanged on task manager i will let you know if i continue having the same freezing issues. Removing my antivirus seems like a strange request (not to mention all the software i downloaded) but i shall give you the benefit of the doubt thanks for the help it is appreciated.

Norton is a resource hog and is known for causing system slow downs.
The built in defender is adequate, you can reinstall it later once we are done here.

Autoruns will allow you to disable useless items easily, all the items you are downloading from my links are portable programs, they do not install onto the system and are simply deleted by dragging to the recycle bin. all except speccy. In the end, it’s your choice, you came asking for help, that is what I am offering, these tools allow me to see what is going on with your machine since I am not sitting in front of it, I’d have no other way of seeing what is happening.

By default it is .arn so you should be fine, saving as is.
