    Windows 10 not working

I kept getting a white box pop up when I would right click. So I system restored to two weeks ago and now I’m getting the following message when I boot. Please look at the image attached. Also I don’t have a windows disc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi @bombizzle,

Are you able to click Advanced Options and Reset This PC?

I went to β€œadvanced options” then I selected β€œtroubleshoot” then I selected β€œreset this PC” then β€œkeep my files”. Then it started resetting and said β€œgetting things ready”. Then I hit the β€œreset” button.

I’m currently waiting. It’s a black screen with the lenovo logo and says β€œresetting this PC 1%”

It got up to 31 percent then said β€œundoing changes” and then went back to the blue screen and said β€œthere was a problem resetting your PC. No changes were made.” Now I’m back to the β€œChoose an option” screen. My choices are β€œexit and continue to windows recovery environment”, " use a device", β€œuse another operating system”, β€œtroubleshoot”, and β€œturn off PC”.

I chose the first option. It started β€œdiagnosing your PC” and then a blue screen came up saying β€œautomatic repair couldn’t repair your PC. Press advanced options to try other options to repair or shut down to turn off your PC. Log file: c:\windows\system32\logfiles\srt\srtTrail.txt”

It sounds like your OS is corrupted.

I’m afraid at this point a re-install is your only option. Do you have a spare computer to use and a flash drive?

If you have a spare computer, download the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool from Microsoft and burn it to the drive.

So I downloaded the creation tool and copy and pasted it to my flash drive. Is that correct?

                            Sorry I should have clarified.

Don’t copy the tool. Just run it on your computer. It’ll run and ask you where to copy the Windows 10 files to. Make sure your flash drive is plugged into the computer and select the flash drive. It’ll download Windows 10, setup the flash drive, and alert you when it’s done.
