Any way to put shortcuts to documents on the windows 10 start bar?

Anyone know if itโ€™s possible to put document shortcuts on the start menu. On the right of the list of apps.

I donโ€™t see the point of the tiles used by default. Iโ€™ve never used the links there at all. What do most people use this for?

On windows 7 I had links to documents on the start menu, for my work I need to refer to some spreadheets throughout the day, I need to refer to it to get costs of things to price up for customers. So I can open it up in seconds. Currently I have to open excel and then open the document which is a 2 step process.

Have a look at this, think it might be what you want to do? if the taskbar is ok?

If you want to add documents to your start menu, have a look at โ€œopen shellโ€ its a free replacement Windows start menu that will allow you to add any documents to your start menu.

Clicking on any of those document files will open them in the app that created them.

Open shell will allow you to use the standard windows 10 start menu when you want too.

    Have a look here
