Yea they don’t work in either of those instances and they are indeed USB. They both turn on when the PC starts but nothing on the keyboard is responsive, and its pretty much the same with the mouse, the cursor won’t even appear on screen. This continues until right before the login screen appears then I have access to them again. I should also mention that during the time they aren’t working the Num Lock on the keyboard will appear to be on, but I won’t be able to turn it off and on again until right before the login screen.
I do also have them both hooked up to a separate USB port but it hasn’t made a difference.

I do want to ask If I delete the old windows files that way, will it completely wipe them from the hard drive, because honestly, I don’t ever want to be able to recover them again.

Its seems to be sending everything to the recycle bin, doesn’t that just “hide” what’s put in there or is it actually overwriting what’s in the drive. I have like 600G plus I want to completely erase

Ok so I thought it erased everything, but when I checked AVG it said I could recover them all, how can I actually wipe everything on the hard drive without getting rid of windows 10?

Right click on the trash can and select Empty.

Here’s a neat and tidy way to clean your old Windows stuff.

This will empty your recycle bin as well, just ensure to select it.
