I purchased a new battery on EBay for $18.99. The estimated delivery day is Mon. 9/11/17.

Can this post be left open in case the new battery doesnโ€™t solve the issue?

Did you make sure the Battery was OEM and not some second hand brand crap.

Some systems will only work properly with OEM batteries.

What does it mean to calibrate a battery?

It basically means resetting your Battery Stat so that it shows actual percentage of remaining charge. Calibration error can happen as a result of batteries going bad, flashing new ROMS or operating system bugs.

I always leave mine plugged in and the Battery out to prevent damage form happening got the Battery. Also have you tried recalibrating the battery?

As for doing that, it will charge up but stop at a percentage b4 reaching 100% & then say โ€œPlugged in, not chargingโ€.

The battery I have came from Hewlett Packard. The one from EBay I purchased is compatible w/ my PC. (HP 15 Series) It should arrive 9/11/17.

It might be second hand if itโ€™s โ€œcompatibleโ€ with your PC. Letโ€™s just see how it goes. If you want to do any more testing before getting your new battery, install BatteryMon and check the battery health level. This can also be done with CPUID HWMonitor
