Issue While Charging

When my battery is charging, the charge stops then starts charging again. Any idea how to fix this?

Try This.

1. Turn off your laptop, unplug all wires, and remove the battery.
2. Hold the power button for thirty seconds.
3. Afterwards, reattach the battery and connections.
4. Boot, and see if the battery will charge now.

I tried what you said & it still goes to “On Battery” then back to “Charging”.

At what percent? How old is the battery? Is it OEM or some no name? How long is it holding a charge after it show 100% if it gets that far?

I have two dells that when I charge them when the battery get to 95% they go to a trickle charge and the battery charging light will flash on and off until it hits 100%

I currently did what Nick said & I’m waiting to see if it will still act up or work fine.

I unpluged PC, uninstalled the Microsoft Complacent Battery & the AC Adapter above it, Shut Down PC, removed battery, booted on AC Adapter & reinserted the battery & it still says “Plugged in, Not Charging”. What else is there to fix this?o_O

Yes, there is a fix. Buy a new Battery.

Yes there is, the battery was charging then it stopped @ 85% & said “Plugged in, Not Charging”. What shall I do?
