How long does it hang? Let it run overnight while you sleep…

2 hours, I will try overnight but if it didn’t even go up 1% over 2 hours I’m not very hopeful. (It got to 11% pretty quickly but didn’t go up 1% for over 2 hours)

Install (use the direct download) the Tweaking.com - Windows all in one repair tool. Then boot Windows into Safe Mode, (Make Certain To Run This Program As Administrator) then run through the Prescan on step 2 tab. Then skip to step 5 and create a system restore point. Then go to the repair tab…

Notice create a registry backup is ticked by default, so no need to do so in step 5… https://pchelpforum.net/attachments/...7-26-png.1290/

Now run the program, with the boxes ticked in the picture below.

Click Image Below For Better Resolution.

May want to save picture or write down what boxes need ticked, since you will run this in Safe Mode.

Important: Make certain to reboot twice after running this tool!!

I used the tweaking tool, did the prescan where it scanned my pc for a while. After I went to repair tab and checked the same boxes as illustrated. Took a while, got some scary red text (stuff about windows defender not being enabled or something? I photographed the screen if anyone is interested). Once it was complete I rebooted the machine before rebooting it a second time. Then tried opening my malwarebytes and video converter, they still don’t do anything.

Is it just these two software that are not working? Try and create a new admin profile and see how things work from it.

Yes it just seems to be these two software packages. I’ll try adding an Admin account tonight, I tried this morning but it seems to be much more complex than it was on previous windows. I go to user accounts> manage another account>add a new user> then when I go to add an account to my local machine it starts asking for a new email or to input a new one. Does this sound right? If so I’ll do it tonight.

Remove them with Geek Uninstaller then reboot the computer…then reinstall them, that now may take care of things since running the all in one tool and the check disk.

Uninstalling, restarting and reinstalling didn’t fix the issue. I was able to set up a new admin account but not sure how to switch, on previous windows you got the option when logging off or restarting but I couldn’t find the option with windows 10.

Reboot the machine and you will have the option to log into the new account.

Rebooted a few times and there is no screen to choose which admin account to use. Tried uninstalling with geek and reinstalling again, reboot again, just doesn’t work. Only tried with the video converter I use (not malware bytes yet)

I tried installing Malwarebytes and get this. I did unistall it with geek but it seems to still be seeing files?
