How do you cool your system?
What are the temperatures when this happens and during normal runs?
On a table, temps for gpu under heavy load is 73c, cpu 59

Hi kanki. After performing a clean install of Windows 10, did you make sure to install the latest drivers for your hardware devices by visiting the manufacturers websites?

Did you update your motherboards UEFI/BIOS to the latest version? Have you reseated the CPU and applied new thermal compound to ensure the CPU isn’t overheating?

            Are you overclocking any components?

              yes done those things.
ive narrowed the issue down to a game called β€œrust” it happens when i exit the game, i can easily open programs seconds before i exit it, but when i exit it(not all times but fairly often) it will do it.
tried getting in contact with devs on their forums and via their submit a ticket system, but getting an answer from them is near impossible unless your a youtuber with a massive following, or your forum/reddit thread gets like 100+ votes

Ok does the system stop responding only when exiting that game and nowhere else? If so then its an issue with the game itself and not your system or your hardware. Did you make sure you are using the latest version of the Steam Client? Is the Rust game up to date? Did you try disabling the Steam overlay and seeing if the same issue occurs when exiting the game?

If you have tried all those suggestions then the only option now is to wait for the developers to release a patch for the game which will hopefully fix that major issue.

yes, ive tried opening windows settings before i close the game, and it pops up fine there. ive then tried after closing the game and thats where the hang will happen.
and ive set steam to auto update, and yes rust also updates automaticly. but its one of those early alpha game

Ok then. Does disabling the Steam overlay help at all?

Ok well there isn’t anything else that I can suggest other than to contact the developers and see if a patch will be released to fix the problem.
