windows stops responding

so for the past month or so ive had this issue where i cant open windows taskmanager, or any other windows programs for that matter.

so when i try to either restart my pc or turn it off it will just be in a endless loop saying either β€œrestarting” or β€œturning off”

and il have to do a hard reset.

2 weeks ago i reinstalled windows 10 but it seems the problem is still at hand.

i run sfc scannow and dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth but neither found any faults

Lets check your HDD and ram to start with, if either of these are faulty then you will have these types of issues.

Please first test your ram, with Memtest. Download it here.

We will want to check the condition of your hard drive next.

Download HD Tune and save the file. Install HD Tune and restart it after installation. Then go to the tab Error Scan , select the hard drive you want to check and press Start . The check can be quite time consuming take depends on the size of the hard drive check. Take a screen shot of the result and save it. Upload it to IMGUR for us. Post the link here.

Do Not tick the quick scan!!

Could you post a full screen of the Disk Manager? So we can see how the drive is portioned and how much space is free.

Right-click the bottom-left corner (or Start button) on the desktop
Open Quick Access Menu
Then choose Disk Management

Once open maximize the window
Press the Prt Scr button on the Keyboard
In the text box here Right Click with the Mouse Button and Select Paste.

Welcome Kanki…
Until Malnutrition’s return it might be helpful to check the Device Manager to see if you have a device that is missing a driver and is not working. Did Windows 10 come with your PC or is this an upgrade? Even a fresh install may not give you the necessary device drivers.

While the drivers from Windows 8.1 should work it is possible that you will need to look to your PC manufacturer’s website for drivers specific to Windows 10. Your PC worked well enough with Windows 8.1 i assume and the issue started with the Windows 10 upgrade. Even with a fresh install your issue remains so I suspect a hardware incompatibility or driver issue. Does this seem possible to you?

Since the reinstall of Windows 10 have you gone to the manufacturers web site and downloaded and installed the drivers for the system and installed them for Windows 10?
Feel free to ask if you are unsure which ones to use we are here to help.

Disabled Windows 10 form downloading and installing drivers for the system?

Please download the FRST 32 bit or FRST 64bit version to suit your operating system. It is important FRST is downloaded to your desktop.

If you are unsure if your operating system is 32 or 64 Bit please go HERE.

Once downloaded right click the FRST desktop icon and select β€œRun as administrator” from the menu"

https://www.pchelpforum.net/attachments/icon2-jpg.112/

If you receive any security warnings, or the User Account Control warning opens at any time whilst using FRST you can safely allow FRST to proceed.
Frst will open with two dialogue boxes, accept the disclaimer.

[li]Accept the default whitelist options,[/li][li]If the additions.txt options box is not checked please select it. [/li]
[li]Then select β€œScan”[/li][/ol]

https://www.pchelpforum.net/attachments/frst-jpg.114/

Frst will take a few minutes to scan your computer, and when finished will produce two log files on your desktop, FRST.txt, and Addition.txt. They will display immediately on the desktop, but can be reopened later as a notepad file.
