Why am I getting low fps in Warzone/Fortnite on LOW settings? My pc specs are as follows Geforce RTX 3070 (overclocked with msi afterburner), Ryzen 9 3900 (over clocked to 4.25Ghz), MSI B450 Gaming plus max motherboard, 16GB 3600mhz Ram. This results in me getting 90fps on the lowest settings in warzone and fortnite. I have adjusted all my settings in-game as well. Any help would be much appreciated. (Note: All my components temps are fine). Yes Vsync is switched off. And I've noticed people with similar specs as me are getting around 160fps - what am I doing wrong. I've followed a million fps boost guides - changing my Nvidia control panel settings but nothing has helped, I am honestly get so frustrated at the moment as I have tried EVERYTHING including reversing my overclock. NOTHING has worked. (Note: My monitor is 1080p @ 240hz)

Edit: It does sometimes go to 100fps.

Based on what you have described I suspect that your hardware is fine and the issue is with the internet connection.

I hope you are using an Ethernet connection when gaming and not wireless.

See my canned info below;

Not a gamer myself so not much help when it comes to FPS but over the years through helping people I have found that when it comes to online gaming there are two things that hinder gaming, a poor internet connection and browser security plug ins, sort them and you are usually good to go.

Something for you to do to see how your present set up handles video when not online gaming;

Use the free versions at the following links;

Stress test your GPU with Furmark

Check your FPS etc with SUPERPOSITION

Hi I am using an Ethernet connection and I have never had a problem in that regard as I have pretty decent internet. I just ran Furmark and Superposition my results are as follows:

- Furmark (ran for 7 minutes on 1080p): FPS(min:219, max:228, avg:224)

- Superposition (ran on 1080p DirectX): Scored 22145 (min: 110.61, avg: 180.63, max: 233.83

Nothing wrong with those results so only leaves, your internet connection, the games or the games servers.

Warzone apparently has been having this issue for months and no fix as of yet, Fortnite not so much so but do see issues post online, some suggestions post just over five minutes ago here

My money is on the games servers not being able to handle the demand of all the people stuck at home on lockdown.
