Hi there,

I received yesterday a used Sapphire RX 580 Pulse 4gb in the mail, and so far have had three crashes. The screen goes blank and says there is no input but the fans continue to spin and I still have audio from the game. I have tried changing cables, changing to an older driver, changing PCIE lanes, and doing a Regedit from a forum suggestion to make a dword called TdrLevel and set it to 0.

I've done some research, and found that it is a common issue for RX 580s to crash. Is there nothing to be done for this card? I'm not using the same PSU cable that my last GPU was plugged into, so I ordered an 8pin extender but it won't arrive for a long time as it's from china. Pc specs:
CPU: core i7-920
RAM: 12gb unknown ddr3 1333mhz
Previous GPU (No errors): HD 6870
New GPU: Sapphire RX 580 Pulse 4gb
Motherboard: Alienware area 51 ALX motherboard.
PSU: Alienware Area 51 ALX PSU

The system is an old Alienware area 51 ALX, that had a completely working HD 6870 previously installed, so I don't know the model number of the ram, motherboard or PSU.

Thanks for any help,

Sasha.
