Hi,

I want to remove the icons of some apps in start menu. I dont want to uninstall them but just remove the icons.

Thank you.

Not really just removing the icon some are integrated to that program.

There are some third-party applications and or programs that may do this yet then they could introduce you to some other issues.

There are icons that dont have "Unpin from Start" option. Draging the icon to the right side of the Start menu doesnt give me "Remove option".

that command in step 3 will reset the system Start apps back to initial install config.
any App that was installed, will get re-installed.

not much.
the apps that can be unpinned will tell you so when you right click each one.
since you don't won't to uninstall, that isn't the next option available.
lastly, the only thing left is to just leave them there in the Start menu. :)

Out of ideas that haven't been tried already - everything on my start menu has an unpin option if I right click.

What options do you see when you right click on the icon? If you see open folder then click on this which will take you to the Start folder, then just right click on the program icon & choose delete.

I installed windows myself. There is no icons for some programs in Start folder.

Any program set to start when Windows starts should place an icon in the Start folder.
Microsoft programs usually always add to the start folder.

Which ones are you asking about?

A screen shot would be most helpful here.
As I have stated before a screen shot of what you see and what you want to accomplish would be extremally helpful.

You first stated that you wanted.
