Hi there I need some help with my ram. I recently purchased new ram since my old one was bad and caused alot of bsod. The new ram I purchased was this one https://www.24.se/datortillbehor/datordelar/ram-minnen/qumox-4gb-ddr3-1600-pc3-12800-cl11? It has the same speed the same cl and above all the same ddr as the one I have now but this one has a voltage of 1.8 and my other one has 1.5 I think I could be wrong. Anyway it powers up and it worked I saw it I even recorded it it said 8gb ram on my screen. I went on vacation for a week and came back and now it just won’t boot up with the ram I removed it and tried to put it back in. In every way possible but still it wouldn’t work how can I fix this? It can’t be “incompatible” cause then why did it work? When I first got it every time I put it in the pc and try to boot it just beeps and refuses to boot up

Quite possibly just a case of luck.
1.8V RAM needs 1.8V and it was always going to end badly, the same would happen if it were the other way around as in putting 1.5V RAM in a 1.8V slot, it would work initially but at some point it would fry.
You made sure that the other specifications were correct so why not the most important in the voltage.
I thought that if you had 2 different ram sticks and one has higher speed or voltage than the other one the the higher one would automatically go down to the lower one. This meant that I wouldn’t get the full potential of the ram but it would run slower to synch with the other ram. So there is no way for me to make it work? Like do something in bios? Reset cmos cause I’ve bought ram twice now and I rlly need it to work and it has before
The two things that must 100% be the same are the voltage and the CAS latency, the timings you will most often get away with.
Only faster RAM will change to the speed of any slower RAM, the voltage required remains the same.

It has the same CL I made sure if that aswell. So shouldn’t there be an easy fix then? Can’t I just go into bios or settings or maybe there is a software that manually sets ram and frequency idc if the other one runs at 1.5 volts or 1.8 I just want to play with it brah pls
Also I saw some people say update bios I haven’t updated my bios for years what does it do? Does it make any difference ?

The above is the only answer.
You cannot change voltages on individual slots on a desktop board and they have far more flexibility than a notebook type computer does.
Not one bit and if you go updating the BIOS for no reason you risk bricking the whole computer should the update get interrupted.
Suggest that you stop going all around the houses and either purchase the appropriate matching stick of RAM or if funds allow it a new pair of matching sticks.
