Ok, good, thanks very much for your help.

Since I know my system is clean, and I've already got my email back, I'll try and recover my Steam accounts using their recovery system, and report back.

Glad to hear the system is clean and you have gotten the email back. Let us know how things go with the Steam accounts. You may have to get with their support as far as the accounts and games are concerned.

Yeah, I started the process but I didn't get their email, I thought there was a problem so I left it, and then it arrived like 15 mins later after I'd got out of the process. I'm going to try again next weeK. I want to do it when the Orange helpline is up - this is France so they're not 24/7 - in case the email login screws up again.

I'm open to any advice people may have about the Steam account recovery system, such as it is.

Btw, I made a donation, I hope you got it.
 
Not atm. If you want, you can close this thread and I'll start another in case of further problems.
