Hello,

Im having a problem with my new PC.
After two weeks of working fine my PC starts to randomly turn off without giving a warning.

When i try to turn it back on it wont do anything PSU fan doesnt even spin up.

After waiting a couple minutes for some weird reason it boots up just fine and it can run benchmarks without problems ...and then randomly shuts off again after a couple mins sometimes hours.

Also when manually shutting down the PC it wont turn on too.

Things i tried.
-Removing ram...doesnt help not turning on
-Removing all cables except power cabe....doesnt help not turning on
-Remove PSU and start it by shorting green and black wire....Fan will turn on.

So im thinking it might be the motherboard or maybe the PSU if anyone knows what it could be feel free post.

Thanks

My hardware.
I3 10105
Asus prime h510m-k
Hyperx predator 2666 c13 16gb
Cooler master 650watt
Samsung 980 pro 256gb

Your duplicate post has been removed.

Other may have more to say...

-Remove PSU and start it by shorting green and black wire....Fan will turn on.

Bad PSUs can pass the paperclip test. The true test that eliminates a PSU from the equation is a replacement or trying that same PSU in another known working machine. Only these 2 can truly rule out a PSU.

Ok sorry for the double post i couldnt see this post when i was viewing the forum.

Anyways i bought another PSU to see if that solves the problem so far it is still running but when i first started the PC it powered on slow so i hope its not the motherboard after all.

PC it powered on slow
what is slow

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

Include the make and model of the Power Supply Unit if this is a Desktop.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

Slow as in 3 sec before the power goes on.
And Like i said it seems to be stable now with the new PSU. My old PSU is a Cooler Master MWE Gold 650 Full Modular.

But it did work stable on that PSU too the first week or so. So whatever it might caused it.

And here is my profile.

I'll keep you guys updated in a couple days if it stays working else i will post here sooner

Sounds like a plan.

Slow as in 3 sec before the power goes on.
Be a little bit more specific before it get to where?

Depending on how old and used the old power supply was could explain some of the delay.

What did you end up replacing it with?

Could also need to have the dust removed if that has not been done in a while.
