Hey, a couple weeks ago my pc started having this problem where the actual machine turns on, but nothing shows up on the monitor and it says no signal from HDMI, also neither the keyboard or the mouse light up. In order for the pc to start working properly and actually showing up on the monitor i have to spam on and off multiple times until i get lucky. PLEASE HELP

I have tried resetting the cmos
changing the graphics card
reseating the ram
new hdmi
new monitor

So other can assist let get a speccy report.

Do not forget to post the make and model of the PSU if this is a desktop.

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

I will try to turn it on today and see if i can get it to work so i can run Speccy and link you the results. But in case it doesnt end up turning on is there anything else i can do?

Will need to post complete system specs including make and models.

Operating system
Version
Release
Desktop Enviorment

When was the last time the system was cleaned and reseated the power and data cables.

DO NOT reseat the CPU fan and or the CPU.

Depending it there is onboard graphics and the CPU is capable of this then try removing the GPU and see if you get a response from the system.

its pretty clean just a little dust it was clean not tooo long ago maybe a couple months
it had windows 10
it has a ryzen 3 2300x
8gb of ram
1T hard drive
it has an rx 560 graphics and i tried a new graphocs card that was compatible and that didn’t fix the issue so i just put the old graphics card back
Let me know anything else that you might need please and thank you for being helpful

On the power suppy there should be a sticker simular to the image.

since i cant open the pc right now i had to look it up but apparently its an apevia 600w gold certified
does that help or would i need to actually open the pc to get the power supply?

Had the exact same problem, and after every possible test, it turn out the cpu was the problem.
It was really weird as I had also tested another cpu and it hadn’t work. But buying a new one more recent solve the problem

was it the same problem that you had to spam on and off for it to turn on because i dont understand how it would even turn on eventually if it had something broken plus a cpu is pretty hard to put on i believe so i dont really want to risk it are you sure?

Let check and try this while waiting for others to chime in.

The PSU information will do thanks.

Just to confirm that you are plugging the display into the graphics card and not the motherboard?

What is the make and model of the motherboard?

Do you hear any beeps if so what pattern?

After you turn the system on what color and or blinking is the power light and pattern?

Any sounds you hear coming from the system would be helpful.
1T hard drive
HDD or SDD?

Do you have a bootable USB drive that you can see if the system responds to that?

Have you tried jumping the power switch?
